Hey, family!
We are so excited that you are taking your next step to take the plunge and be baptized! Below is some information about Baptism Sunday and a special video message from Pastor James so that you will be prepared for that day.
Dismissal: At the 11 am service, Pastor James will dismiss those getting baptized at the start of appeals so that you can head over to Mac’s Place to get ready for Baptism.
Where to change & What to wear: There are bathrooms at Mac’s Place where you can change. When you arrive at Mac’s Place, you will be given your WLCC Baptism T-shirt to put on and wear for the Baptism. Please plan to wear dark clothing along with your Baptism shirt. We recommend long shorts or windbreaker/nylon jumpsuit pants and black ankle socks so that you have traction and don’t slip when you come out of the baptismal. Also, please bring a change of clothes & a towel for after the baptism.
What will happen: After everyone being baptized is ready, we will begin the Baptism Service. Your WLCC church family will join us to cheer you on as you take the plunge!! We will seat everyone up in the order you will be baptized, and then call the names out one by one. When you hear your name, you will come forward and there will be a brother on either side helping you in and out of the Baptismal.
Group Picture/Baptism Certificate: When the Baptism is over, we want to take a group picture at the end with everyone in their Baptism t-shirt, so please don’t change until after the photo happens which will be after everyone is baptized. Then you can change and you will receive your Baptism certificate.
